Meet the Founder
From Service to Purpose
The story behind Strategic Pathways Group begins with resilience, service, and a deep commitment to helping people become more intentional about their future.
Nelle Kigembe is the founder of Strategic Pathways Group, a community-focused organization built to empower individuals, families, veterans, and underserved communities through financial education, leadership development, veteran transition support, and community outreach.
Her story did not begin in comfort. It began with courage.

As an immigrant from Tanzania, Nelle understands what it means to start over, adapt, work hard, and build a life with purpose. Coming to the United States meant learning a new culture, navigating unfamiliar systems, and creating opportunity where there was no clear roadmap. That experience shaped her compassion for people who are trying to find their way, especially those who feel overlooked, underprepared, or unsure of their next step.
Nelle went on to serve 22 years in the United States Navy, retiring as a Master Chief. Her military journey taught her discipline, leadership, sacrifice, accountability, and the power of serving something bigger than herself. Over the years, she led teams, mentored service members, managed complex responsibilities, and learned that true leadership is not about title — it is about impact.
But her greatest mission has also been personal.
As a single parent, Nelle knows what it means to carry responsibility, make hard decisions, and keep moving forward even when the path is uncertain. She understands the pressure families face when they are trying to provide, protect, save, plan, and create something better for the next generation.
Through her own life experiences, Nelle saw a common problem across many communities: hardworking people are doing their best, yet many were never taught how money really works. They were taught to work, survive, and provide — but not always how to plan, protect, grow, lead, and build with intention.
That realization became the foundation for Strategic Pathways Group.
Strategic Pathways Group was created to help people pause, learn, and see the bigger picture before making important decisions about their future. The organization exists to provide education, awareness, resources, and meaningful conversations that help people become more confident and intentional.
Nelle believes that financial education is not just about money. It is about dignity. It is about options. It is about families having conversations they may have never had before. It is about helping people understand what is possible when they are given access to knowledge, guidance, and community.
